The Office for Students (OfS) has launched a consultation on funding for world-leading specialist providers of higher education. These providers receive additional funding, recognising the high cost of their education and related activities and the contribution they make to the higher education sector and wider society.

The Office for Students will allocate an additional £10 million of funding for high cost subjects to universities and other higher education providers.

This publication summarises the Office for Students’ initial allocations of recurrent funding to higher education providers for the academic year 2021-22, to support their teaching activities. Annex A summarises the funding allocations for each provider.

Terms and conditions of funding for 2021-22

This document sets out terms and conditions of funding that apply for the academic year 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2022. These apply to the recurrent and capital funding the Office for Students (OfS) will distribute to providers that are registered in the Approved (fee cap) part of the OfS Register of higher education providers.
