New analysis shows postgraduate courses are increasing diversity in AI and data science

New autumn 2020 student admissions data shows a diverse range of students have enrolled on artificial intelligence (AI) and data science postgraduate conversion courses funded by the Office for Students (OfS). The data shows that 40 per cent of the total students are women, one quarter are Black students and 15 per cent are students are disabled.

Students who are estranged from their parents are considerably less likely to be awarded a first or 2:1 and more likely to drop out in their first year of studies, according to new experimental data released by the Office for Students (OfS).

Summative evaluation of the OfS Addressing Barriers to Student Success programme

This report presents the final evaluation of the Office for Students (OfS) Addressing Barriers to Student Success (ABSS) programme, a £7.5 million programme that ran between March 2017 and October 2019. The programme aimed to scale up pedagogical and student support approaches that had proven successful in addressing differential educational and employment outcomes, especially for underrepresented groups of students.

Interim evaluation of access and participation reforms

The first of a two-part evaluation of the effectiveness of access and participation plan reform has been published today. The independent report, by Nous Group, provides a qualitative analysis of access and participation plans submitted by universities and colleges to the Office for Students (OfS).
