2020

Arden University Limited, formally known as Resource Development International, was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2014. This Order expired on 31 August 2020.

The OfS has authorised Arden University Limited to award taught awards for a one-year fixed term between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.

The effect of this Order is to enable Arden University Limited to continue to award relevant degrees until 31 August 2021, with the same effect as the provider’s previous authorisation from the Privy Council. The reasons for this Order are to allow sufficient time for the provider to be assessed for indefinite degree awarding powers and to reflect the provider’s change of legal name, which took effect after the previous Privy Council Order.

See the DAPs Order for Arden University Limited.

BPP University Limited was awarded time-limited taught degree awarding powers (DAPs) by the Privy Council on 1 September 2013.

The OfS has varied this DAPs Order for BPP University Limited to remove the time limit. This variation takes effect from 1 September 2020.

The effect of the variation is to enable BPP University Limited to continue to award relevant degrees for an indefinite period. The reason for the variation is because the OfS is satisfied that the provider continues to meet the DAPs criteria and is operating its powers securely. Therefore, it is proportionate to allow the authorisation to now be given on an indefinite basis.

See the DAPs Order for BPP University Limited.
