People Committee
The People Committee gives advice on staff matters, including performance and renumeration. It also provides advice on people, culture and reward matters at the OfS.
Two board members serve on the People Committee:
- Jane McCall (chair)
- Andrew Wilson.
Independent members
Alex supports leadership teams and boards to deliver the right size and shape of workforce, with care and compassion, positioning their organisations for long-term sustainability.
Before setting up Leading Kind in 2020, Alex was Director of People at Glasgow Caledonian University for eight years, where he led an award-winning People Services team. Before that, Alex held executive people roles in the NHS and the government for over 25 years.
Alex also has over a decade of non-executive experience and is currently chair of DWRM, a social enterprise supporting people in prison and on probation into higher education and is Vice Chair of Edinburgh College. Alex is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, has a Masters in HRM, a Professional Masters (Prof M), and holds a Certificate in Company Direction with distinction in strategy.
