These annual reports contain analysis of sector aggregate data based on submissions from higher education institutions in England and Northern Ireland. Also provided are summaries of UK sector data for each year.
The Transparent Approach to Costing (TRAC) is an activity-based costing system, using a methodology developed with the higher education sector, to reflect the full, sustainable costs of activities.
TRAC data is collected by the Office for Students on behalf of UK Research and Innovation, the Scottish Funding Council, the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales and the Department for the Economy (Northern Ireland). These bodies are co‑owners of the data.
