OfS research finds over eight in ten students are satisfied with their accommodation

Independent research published by the OfS finds that undergraduate students in their first year of university or college are largely positive about their accommodation. It suggests that accommodation costs were a significant factor in deciding where to study for most students, and that students’ experiences of accommodation play a critical role in shaping their overall higher education experience.

IFF conducted research for the Office for Students with first-year university and college students living in rented accommodation in England. The research explores their decision making around accommodation options, their engagement with and understanding of accommodation contracts, their satisfaction with their accommodation, and any issues they have faced.

Office for Students publishes new data on Prevent

New data from the OfS finds that, while the number of individual potential radicalisation cases managed by institutions overall has declined slightly, formal referrals to Prevent have increased by nearly 50 per cent.
