Prevent duty: Framework for monitoring in higher education in England

This monitoring framework sets out how the Office for Students will monitor higher education providers’ implementation of the statutory ‘Prevent duty’ in England. 

This framework should be followed by relevant higher education bodies from 1 January 2027 onwards in order to demonstrate due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into or supporting terrorism.
