Improving access and participation for black, Asian and minority ethnic groups in postgraduate research: Evaluation

This report gives an independent evaluation of the first year of the programme to improve access and participation for black, Asian and minority ethnic students in postgraduate research (PGR). Jointly funded by the Office for Students and Research England, the programme has provided nearly £8 million to 13 projects.

The funded projects and the evaluation launched in January 2022. The impact evaluation is currently underway, beginning with the identification of outcome measures that are common across all projects and the analysis of data for the pre-intervention period (2017-18 to 2020-21) to be used in establishing a national baseline for the identified outcome measures.
