Assessment for variation of degree awarding powers - Cornwall College

The OfS has varied the degree awarding powers (DAPs) order for Cornwall College (which trades under the name The Cornwall College Group), to take effect from 16 May 2026:

• to authorise a variation of the existing authorisation for the provider to award foundation degrees on an indefinite basis and to enable it to authorise other institutions to grant awards on its behalf for foundation degrees 
• to extend the level of authorisation from foundation to bachelors’ degree (up to and including Level 6) for a time-limited period of four years.

This report details the assessment carried out by an assessment team. It sets out the team’s advice about the quality of, and standards applied to, higher education courses and whether the provider continues to meet the DAPs criteria.
