On 9 January 2026 the Office for Students (OfS) opened an investigation of Global Banking School Limited and Oxford Brookes University, specifically in relation to Oxford Brookes University students taught by Global Banking School Limited through a partnership between the providers.
The investigation will look at whether:
- the courses delivered by Global Banking School Limited on behalf of Oxford Brookes University are high quality
- Global Banking School Limited and Oxford Brookes University have effective management and governance arrangements in place.
The investigation will consider whether Global Banking School Limited and Oxford Brookes University have complied with the following general ongoing conditions of registration: B1, B2, B4, E1 and E2.
The opening of the investigation means that the OfS has identified potential concerns that require further scrutiny. The decision to open an investigation does not mean that any form of non-compliance or wrongdoing has taken place.
