Size and shape of provision data dashboard

Normally, OfS student outcome and experience dashboards are released after Jisc’s Higher Education Student Statistics publication, which is based on data submitted by providers across the UK that report to Jisc. This year, challenges during the 2022-23 Student Record collection mean that Jisc now plans to publish this bulletin on 8 August.

We have decided on this occasion to release these OfS statistics on 25 July, as signalled on our release schedule, in advance of Jisc’s bulletin. We are taking this approach because a delay in publication would have an impact on the primary users of our data, and who need to be able to engage with the data before the next academic year.

However, as there is a significant overlap between the OfS size and shape dashboard and the Jisc official statistics bulletin, we have decided to delay publishing this OfS dashboard until 3 September, so these statistics can be released in an orderly way to reduce risks of confusion for users.
