Student representatives – a guide to the Office for Students
Understanding students
We want to engage with students and we are committed to involving them in different ways.
We have highlighted on this page some of the ways we engage with students and represent their interests.
Student debriefs
We run online events or debriefs for students that explore issues that affect their experience.
Student News
We publish a newsletter of regular updates for students and student representatives about the OfS's work and opportunities to get involved (one email every academic term).
Consultations and workshops
We routinely consult on proposed changes to our regulations. These changes often have a direct bearing on students.
Student representatives can also look out for opportunities to come along to workshops and focus groups (usually advertised in our events pages).
Student Interest Board
The Student Interest Board is a committee of the OfS board and provides insight directly to the board and the OfS about the issues that matter most to students.
Insight reports
Our student insight reports draw attention to the findings from research into issues that affect students – for example, their rights as consumers or student accommodation.
