We have made updates to paragraph 56 on evidence and information. Engagement with providers has made clear the previous text was not always understood, and providers sought more information about our approach in responses to our publication of information consultation, published in September 2022. We committed in our response to that consultation to provide clarification in this regulatory advice.

This update includes information about the potential scope of investigations and clarifies that there is no threshold that needs to be met before we gather information on a voluntary or compulsory basis, including as part of an investigation.

We have also updated paragraph 95 on publication and sharing of information to refer to Regulatory advice 21 which sets out our policy on those issues.

Consequential changes have been made elsewhere in the guidance.
