Addressing Barriers to Student Success programme
Some groups of students in higher education do not have the same chance as others to succeed in their studies or go on to a graduate-level job or further study.
The Addressing Barriers to Student Success programme was launched in 2017 to address differential outcomes within higher education and beyond.
The Office for Students provided £7.5 million of funding for the programme as a key aspect of our work to improve equal opportunities in higher education.
A total of 17 different projects were involved in the programme, including 59 higher education providers and 28 other organisations such as charities, employers and local enterprise partnerships.
The programme covered a broad range of areas across the student lifecycle including:
- inclusive and active teaching and learning practices
- wellbeing for students
- progression to postgraduate study
- graduate employability.
The programme has now come to an end and we have published the final evaluation report.
