What’s the evidence?
Data shows gaps in equality of opportunity in success and progression of:
- students of particular ethnicities
- disabled students
- students from areas of low higher education participation, low household income and/or low socioeconomic status
- mature students.
Our work on degree and employment outcomes highlights statistically significant differences between student groups, even when accounting for other background characteristics of the students.
