When we fund programmes of activity, we want to know what works so that the learning can be shared across the higher education sector and have a greater impact.
We’ve commissioned Warwick Economics and Development Ltd to evaluate the programme at a national level over two years. In addition, individual projects are evaluating their own activity at a local level, which will feed in to this national evaluation.
What does the evaluation assess?
The evaluation assesses how successful the programme has been in:
- supporting collaborations that have scaled up existing approaches to address inequality in student outcomes
- identifying good practice across a range of providers, and clarifying what conditions are needed for things to work.
An evaluation report has been published that covers the first year of programme delivery. It looks at how the programme is working and what lessons can be drawn to date.
