The government sets what fees universities and colleges can charge through the Higher Education and Research Act 2017. These limits may change from year to year.
The government has announced the maximum fee limit for 2021-22. The following table shows the fee limits for 2021-22:

1 Current fee regulations prohibit any institution from charging a part-time student more than £6,935 in an academic year, or £6,750 for providers without a TEF award, regardless of how many credits are taken or the intensity of study.
2 The Department for Education have confirmed their position on fees and student support for 2021-22 Erasmus years:
'We intend that the same rate of fees and support that currently apply to Erasmus+ students in 2020-21 will apply for the 2021-22 academic year in relation to eligible students undertaking Erasmus placements or placements under a replacement programme in the event that the UK participates in the next Erasmus+ programme (2021-27) or if a replacement programme is implemented. UK participation in the next Erasmus+ programme is subject to ongoing negotiations with the European Union.'
If there are any changes to the fee caps for 2021-22, or the broader student finance package, we will ask providers to confirm any changes to their fees and the financial support they give to students at that point.
