Monitoring of capital funding allocated in the financial year 2022-23: Guidance for higher education providers

We require all higher education providers in receipt of capital funding in financial year 2022-23 to submit a monitoring return to account for their expenditure.

This guidance sets out the monitoring information required from all higher education providers that:

• received formula capital funding in the financial year 2022-23 (1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023)
• submitted a successful bid for competitive capital funding for the financial years 2022-23 to 2024-25, and received payment towards it in the financial year 2022-23.

The deadline for returning monitoring information is 17 April 2023.
