This document analyses how English higher education providers regulated by the OfS pay their senior staff.

The Office for Students is consulting on a new strategy for 2022 to 2025. We would like to hear your views.

Considerable geographical disparities affect students and graduates in England. The rate of gaining entry to higher education varies by location, as does the availability of nearby provision and of graduate-level employment opportunities after university. These divergences are complex and can be very local, but often affect rural and coastal areas, and pockets of deprivation within major cities. This brief examines how the OfS, universities and colleges are working together for change.

This publication sets out the arrangements for the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022 and the action required from all participating universities, colleges and other higher education providers.

This document proposes criteria to decide which providers will be eligible and how we will allocate funding.

Our consultation sought views on amendments to the definition of ‘reportable events’ in the OfS’s regulatory framework and on revised guidance (Regulatory advice 16) to help providers to understand and meet the OfS’s reporting requirements. We undertook a qualitative analysis of the feedback that we received. In this document we identify and discuss the most significant issues raised by respondents.

This letter implements revised reportable events requirements for registered providers, with effect from 1 January 2022.
