These charts and tables show six different student populations that can be filtered by various undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study, different study characteristics and the following student characteristics: age at entry, disability (broad and detailed), educational disadvantage (POLAR4), ethnicity and sex.
Notes on charts and tables
Changing a filter automatically updates both the chart and the table.
This data only applies to English higher education providers.
The charts only include data for the years 2011-12, 2013-14, 2015-16 and 2017-18 but data for all years between 2010-11 and 2017-18 can be found in the table.
When ‘Subject of study’ is selected, by default eight subjects are displayed but the filter that appears can be used to change, add to or remove these subjects. The data for all subject groups is always displayed in the table.
Counts have been rounded to the nearest five and proportions have been rounded to the nearest 0.1. Additionally, in circumstances where the combination of study and student characteristics applies to less than 23 individuals, then neither the count nor proportion is presented.
‘No response’ in the table indicates the number of students for which their characteristic was not reported by their provider.
