Where we think a notification raises concerns about a university and college, we will follow up and, if necessary, consider taking regulatory action.
If you notify us of an issue, we may contact you for further information.
If we decide to investigate an issue that has been notified to us by a third party, we would be doing this for the purpose of regulation. This means that we would not be following up a complaint on your behalf, and we would not be able to provide individual redress (such as compensation).
We may share information about a registered university and college sent to us in a notification with third parties. For example, we may share information about a potential breach of consumer protection law with the Advertising Standards Agency.
In deciding whether to disclose information, we will consider the circumstances of the particular case and we will also have regard to our general duties.
