Each metric shows the proportion of students with successful outcomes. This is compared to expected performance for that provider to take into account the mix of students and subjects at each provider.
If a provider’s actual performance is significantly above its benchmark, this is taken as a measure of high performance.

In addition to considering the benchmarked data, panel members and assessors also consider which providers have the highest and lowest performance data for each metric across the sector to inform their judgements.
