Arrangements for the publication of the 2020 data were published in May 2020.

Analysis of the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the NSS 2021 results

This year, given the pressures and uncertainties universities and colleges faced in responding to coronavirus, the UK funding and regulatory bodies kept the NSS 2020 under review.

The UK funders and regulators also committed to analyse the data to assess any impact the coronavirus outbreak has had on the results and make professional judgements about its statistical reliability.

Having completed an assessment of the impact, the UK funding and regulatory bodies are assured that the quality of the data is suitable for publication. The accompanying documentation explains the analysis and the findings.
