The Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey collects information on what leavers from higher education (HE) programmes are doing six months after qualifying from their course.
The majority of providers collect and return data to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA).
Further education colleges (FECs) currently return data to the Office for Students. Information about what FECs must do to collect and submit their data for the DLHE 2016-17 is available below.
The DLHE will soon be replaced by the graduate outcomes survey. The first one will start in December 2018 and will be managed by HESA. Further information about the new survey is available online.
Guidance for further education colleges
Further education colleges are required to fund and administer the DLHE survey themselves for all directly funded higher education students.
How to run the survey
Colleges may carry out the survey in one of three ways:
- contracting out delivery
- running the survey independently
- working with provider partners.
Whichever way you choose to do the DLHE, collecting good contact details will help your response rate. We ask that each college ensures they supply an up-to-date DLHE contact to [email protected].
