Outcomes performance measures
Strategic objective 3:
‘All students, from all backgrounds, are able to progress into employment, further study, and fulfilling lives, and their qualifications hold their value over time.’
We have three strategic outcomes under this strategic objective, and four key performance measures (KPMs) to help us demonstrate progress against them.
Strategic outcome: graduates and postgraduates leave with the knowledge and skills that will contribute to their national and local economies and communities, and drive productivity.
15. Graduates in highly skilled or professional roles
In development:
We have paused some activity due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We hope to specify this measure soon.
This measure will use data from the Graduate Outcomes Survey to show the percentage of graduates in highly skilled or professional roles.
It will assume that these graduates are using the knowledge and skills they acquired in higher education.
16. Employers that think graduates are equipped with the right skills and knowledge
In development:
We have paused some activity due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We hope to specify this measure soon.
This measure will act as a proxy for how far graduates are meeting the demand for knowledge and skills among employers.
Strategic outcome: Students’ lives are improved and enriched by their time in higher education.
17. Graduate wellbeing
Graduates who previously studied full-time were less likely to score very high for life satisfaction 15 months after graduation than the general population (including graduates).
Strategic outcome: Qualifications hold their value over time, and students are able to use them long after leaving higher education.
18. Students achieving 1sts
29%
Proportion in 2018-19
We are working on a target for this measure
The proportion of 1sts awarded was the same in 2017-18 and 2018-19 after years of steady increases.
